A Crash Course on Dissolved Salts in Wastewater and How to Stay Compliant
Dissolved salts in wastewater coupled with monitoring and permit requirements can present significant concerns to water resource managers. This presentation will summarize TCEQ’s regulatory program for dissolved salts and provide an update on TCEQ’s effort to revise the Procedures to Implement the Texas Surface Water Quality Standards. We will identify water users that contribute dissolved salts to wastewater and discuss approaches to address dissolved salts during permitting.
